The State Service of Ukraine for Ethno-politics congratulated the Jewish community on Rosh Hashanah

The State Service of Ukraine on Ethno-politics and Freedom of Conscience (DESS) sincerely congratulated the Jewish community of Ukraine on the coming holiday of Rosh Hashanah, which marks the advent of a new year, a new destiny and new opportunities. This is a time of special inner renewal, sincere prayer and deep rethinking, when, despite the challenges of war, pain and trials, it is important not to lose hope and appreciate freedom, finding good even in the darkest times. This is reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Ethno-politics and Freedom of Conscience.
In its message, the DESS recalled the teachings of the spiritual leader of Bratslav Hasidism, Rabbi Nachman, who emphasized that “Truth is a light that helps to get out of the darkness. Light it up!” and “Losing hope is like losing freedom: like losing your own self.”
During these holidays, the State Service of Ukraine on Ethno-politics and Freedom of Conscience expressed wishes “that the Lord heard every prayer of the Jewish community, and every petition for mercy, forgiveness and blessing was accepted”.
Recall, February 28, 2025, the State Service of Ukraine on Ethno-politics and Freedom of Conscience congratulated the Muslims of Ukraine on the beginning of Ramadan (Muslim fasting – ed.). At the same time, there is no mention of the Christian Lent, which began on March 3 for Orthodox and Greek Catholics, on the website of the DESS.
