UGCC monastery in Lutsk celebrates 30 years of "revival of spirituality"

on September 21, Lutsk hosted celebrations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the revival of the UGCC monastery of the order of Basilian monks. The events were attended by representatives of the UGCC and local authorities. This is reported by VolynNews.

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council Gregory Pustovit, who took part in the celebrations, emphasized that the restoration of the parish and monastery of the UGCC is a true «Lord’s miracle». According to him, during the period when the Ukrainian people were enslaved, this church was under a ban. «In the current time of war, common prayers are extremely inspiring and help both civilians and our soldiers,»— said Pustovit.

We will remind, on September 6, 2025, the Roman Catholic Metropolis of Lviv celebrated its 650th anniversary. In connection with the celebrations, in the Latin pulpit of Lviv were made festive worship events, in which, among others, participated representatives of the PCU.
