Another UOC church in Cherkassy re-registered in the OCU

In Cherkasy city, the Spaso-Preobrazhensky church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in the Dakhnivka microdistrict was re-registered under the jurisdiction of the OCU. This reportedly happened on October 8 without a meeting of the religious community, prompting accusations of raiding the shrine.
According to the Telegram channel DOZOR, the initiators of the transition did not even hold an imitation meeting of believers. According to the source, the re-registration was carried out on the basis of falsified documents submitted directly to the state registrar. It is especially noted that the procedure was carried out while the rector of the church, Archpriest Anatoliy Chertopolokh, was undergoing treatment in hospital.
These actions jeopardize the further activities of the Marfo-Mariana Sisterhood, which operates at the temple. The Sisterhood is known for its social work and help to those in need. Now its future, as well as the future of the parish itself, remains uncertain.
We shall remind you that earlier it was reported that Cherkasyoblenergo stopped supplying electricity to one of the temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Cherkassy, demanding from the UOC diocese to pay off the debt for electricity, which was used by representatives of the «Orthodox Church of Ukraine» in the cathedral previously seized by them. The situation arose after the OCU appropriated the Archangel Michael Cathedral but failed to pay for utilities, resulting in the accumulation of significant arrears.
