Authorities sealed the Cathedral of Volodymyr-Volyn Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

on October 10, the Holy Dormition Cathedral and the premises of the diocesan office belonging to the local diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were sealed in the city of Volodymyr-Volynskyi in Volyn region. The procedure was preceded by an inventory of property, during which the church premises were searched.
According to the Rayon.Volodymyr publication, after the completion of all the expropriation actions, one room remained on the territory of the complex, which was not subject to sealing, as it was not included in the enforcement proceedings. Representatives of the Vladimir-Volyn diocese of the UOC were able to place some of their belongings there, while the rest of the property was removed from the territory.
We shall remind you that in the morning of October 10, the process of forced eviction of the Vladimir-Volyn diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the complex of occupied premises, which includes the Holy Dormition Cathedral, diocesan administration and spiritual school, began. The police have cordoned off the territory and are not letting the faithful inside the cathedral, while the Cathedral itself is undergoing a «property inventory».
