The Ministry of Culture organized an event on the role of identity for the security and unity of Ukraine at the Kiev Pechersk Lavra

on October 14, 2025, in the walls of the Refectory Church of the Holy Assumption Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, a discussion was held on the role of national identity as a strategic basis for the security and unity of Ukraine. The event, as reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine (MCSC), emphasized the importance of cultural and ideological aspects in the formation of a stable state.

Experts and participants of the event touched upon the preservation of historical heritage, the development of Ukrainian language and culture, as well as the formation of a unified information space that contributes to the strengthening of national identity. It was emphasized that these elements play a key role in building a stable state capable of resisting hybrid threats and maintaining public consensus.

Recall, the acting Director General of the National Reserve «Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra» Svetlana Kotlyarevska believes that in order to increase the number of visitors to Lavra it is necessary to develop the infrastructure of hospitality: to open coffee shops, souvenir shops, to ensure the sale of ice cream and even to create a special brand «Lavra coffee».
