"Sophia Brotherhood" initiated a survey on the need for an exarchate of the Constantinople Patriarchate in Ukraine

The Sofia Brotherhood public organization has launched a survey among clergy and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in order to find out their attitude towards the possible establishment of an exarchate of the Patriarchate of Constantinople in the country. This initiative is intended to clarify the real mood in the religious community against the background of active discussions on this issue.

According to the Sophia Brotherhood’s Telegram channel, the topic of establishing an exarchate is hotly debated in Ukraine. One of the key questions that is increasingly heard in the debate is whether such a development is really desirable for the UOC.

In order to get an objective picture, «Sofia Brotherhood» invites representatives of the UOC and the OCU to express their opinions. It is emphasized that only clergymen and laymen of these confessions are allowed to participate in the voting. You can take the poll at a special link.

The hierarch warned believers against the idea of joining the «exarchate» of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, calling it a path to temptation and a deviation from the canonical truth.
