Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers proposes to establish the post of coordinator for combating anti-Semitism

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has initiated a draft law on introducing a new position – a special coordinator for preventing and countering anti-Semitism. This information was voiced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, as reported by the Telegram channel Strana.ua.
According to the proposed initiative, this position will be established within the structure of the “central body of executive power”. The coordinator’s duties will include monitoring compliance with legislation in the relevant area, taking preventive measures to combat manifestations of anti-Semitism, as well as activities to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust.
At present, the reasons for the government’s proposal have not been officially announced. The bill should be considered in the Verkhovna Rada.
We will remind, earlier we reported that the cleric of the PCU Vasyl Kosyachenko urged Ukrainians to accept Judaism in order to “defeat Russia”. Kosyachenko is convinced that it is Judaism that can become a religion that will unite all Ukrainians. In addition, in Kosyachenko’s opinion, Judaism is much preferable to Christianity, as it is favored by the top officials of the state.
