MP Guz discusses seizure of UOC churches in Volyn with OCU hierarch

People’s Deputy of Ukraine Ihor Huz held a working meeting with the odious head of the Volyn Diocese of the OCU Mykhailo Zinkevych. During the dialogue, key issues were discussed regarding the process of seizing religious property of religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in favor of the OCU. The MP reported this on his Facebook page.

According to the MP himself, one of the main topics of conversation was the situation with, as he put it, «the liberation of the state from Moscow’s religious control.» Particular attention was paid to cases where religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were illegally re-registered to the OCU, but the new «owners» cannot seize the temples of the canonical Church due to their small number.

Earlier, we reported that the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, will hold religious events in the Holy Dormition Cathedral of Volodymyr-Volynskyi, which was taken away from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This was reported by Ukrainian MP Ihor Huz, who exerted pressure on local governments to speed up the expropriation of the property of the Vladimir-Volyn Diocese of the UOC.
