OCU members helped officials select UOC monastery in Kyiv region

In the village of Kniazhychi, Kyiv region, an incident occurred around the Transfiguration Monastery of the UOC. State bailiffs who arrived to carry out legal actions against the monastery acted jointly with representatives of the OCU, which led to accusations of a coordinated seizure attempt.
According to the Telegram channel DOZOR, one of the OCU ministers was recognized among the persons accompanying the civil servants. The publication claims that the photographs published by the monastery depict Mykhailo Lesyuk, whom the source calls the head of the Brovary district office and the secretary of the Kyiv diocesan administration of the OCU.
The source also made accusations against the said representative of the OCU, claiming his involvement in previous seizures of churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Kyiv region. According to the authors of the publication, he «organized falsification of documents, incited hatred and called for violent assaults on shrines.»
Earlier we reported that in the village of Kniazhychi, the brethren and parishioners of the Transfiguration Monastery of the UOC prevented an attempt to seize it. According to the lawyer of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the actions of the state bailiffs who arrived to expropriate the monastery were illegal and were carried out in violation of the terms established by law.
