The Ministry of Culture held a meeting with international partners in the Refectory Church of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine held a meeting with international partners in the Refectory Church of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, using the historic site as a platform for strategic discussions in the cultural sphere. This event was another case of holding secular events within the walls of the Lavra, which was previously regularly used for worship services of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
According to the head of the Ministry Tetyana Berezhnaya, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Office of the President, people’s deputies and employees of the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra”. According to Berezhnaya, the main topic was international cooperation and cultural policy. The Minister presented the renewed team of the department, outlined strategic objectives and priorities for the next year, and also told about a number of international projects implemented with the participation of foreign partners.
The National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” said that the Lavra is now actively used as a platform for strategic meetings and international cooperation in the field of culture. “The thousand-year history of Lavra proves: heritage is a resource for future solutions. That is why we are ready to join projects that strengthen the sustainability of the cultural sphere, expand international interaction and create new opportunities for the development of Ukraine’s cultural potential,” the reserve said.
The Minister emphasized that “in the walls where Ukrainian culture was created for almost a thousand years”, the best place today “to talk about cooperation”, asserting that “Ukrainian culture was and is part of European culture”.
Recall, earlier we reported that on December 6, 2025, the Office of the President of Ukraine held a “Military Prayer Breakfast”, which was another political event organized within the walls of the Refectory Church of the Holy Assumption Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The “breakfast”, which was led by Volodymyr Zelensky, was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian political establishment, elected servicemen and heads of certain religious organizations in Ukraine.
