Vladimir Zelensky congratulated Jews on Hanukkah

Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the Jews on the holiday of Hanukkah, emphasizing the special meaning of Hanukkah candles in war conditions. The head of state wished the Jews strength, faith, a sense of support and peace in these difficult times.

The head of state emphasized the symbolism of the holiday: «Light that does not fade even in darkness. Faith that helps us to endure. The unity of people who support each other when it is the hardest.

Earlier we reported that the largest in Europe Hanukkiah was installed on Independence Square in Kiev on the eve of Hanukkah. However, even before the first candle was lit, the monumental nine-candle holder had already sparked a wave of heated discussions on social media regarding the appropriateness of placing such a symbol on the country’s main square.
