Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Melania Trump the Order of Princess Olga

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has decided to award former U.S. First Lady Melania Trump the Order of Princess Olga, First Class. Decree No. 1079/2026, published on the website of the Office of the President, recognizes her significant contribution to humanitarian aid for Ukraine and her efforts to rescue affected citizens.

According to the official document, the award was granted for her active human rights and charitable work aimed at helping Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression, as well as for her assistance in facilitating the return of illegally deported individuals. In addition to the First Lady, Melania Trump’s Special Senior Advisor, Mark Beckman, was also awarded a high state honor—the President of Ukraine’s “Golden Heart” Medal.

It is noted that the decision to award the honor is closely linked to the successful humanitarian mission in the occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region. Melania Trump initiated the process of achieving a local ceasefire in the region, while Mark Beckman coordinated the evacuation of civilians. A meeting involving representatives from both sides is expected to take place at the White House on November 5 to discuss the continuation of the ceasefire in Oleshky.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on state awards to mark Ukrainian Statehood Day. The controversial head of the Volyn Diocese of the OCU, Mykhailo Zinkevych, was awarded a high state honor—the Order “For Merit,” First Class.
