In Chernihiv unknown persons fell down the Menorah standing in the city center

An act of vandalism took place in Chernihiv, during which unknown persons felled the Menorah and left provocative inscriptions at the scene. The incident, which was reported to law enforcement agencies on the morning of December 22, is being investigated by police.

According to preliminary information, the attackers not only felled the religious symbol during the night, but also left an inscription calling for the violation of equal rights of citizens, RegioNews reported, citing regional police. This incident caused a wide resonance and public concern.

Currently, law enforcers are taking all necessary measures to identify the persons involved in the commission of this offense. The issue of legal qualification of the incident is also being resolved.
