Influence of the occult in Ukrainian politics: MP Zheleznyak talks about the involvement of magicians and pressure on the UOC

Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak expressed concern about the growing influence of occult practices and the involvement of «magicians» in the Ukrainian political environment. According to them, this phenomenon may be associated with pressure on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), destroying the myth of purely «patriotic» motives for this struggle.

According to the Information and Education Department of the UOC, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated in his video on the YouTube channel «Iron MP» that individuals who appeal to occult and magical practices play an active role in Ukrainian government circles and the socio-political environment. According to him, such practices can be used as an element of political and information strategies.

As an example, the deputy cited the activities of Bohdan Oryschenko, who publicly calls himself «Magician Veliar.» Zheleznyak claims that Oryshchenko systematically appears in the information space as a blogger and speaker, publicly defending senior government officials and criticizing their opponents. He is also included in the list of bloggers who regularly comment on political topics in the interests of Bankova Street. Open sources confirm that Bohdan Oryshchenko even received the Pride and Glory of Ukraine award from a charity project presented by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.

The activities of the «magician Veliar» were not limited to participation in political broadcasts. His presence in provocative actions near the Kyiv Cave Monastery was repeatedly recorded, where he publicly committed blasphemous acts, performed «funeral services» and uttered «curses» against the UOC, its bishops and priests. In the media and social networks, he also demonstrated hostility to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, positioning himself as a «sorcerer.»

Zheleznyak also drew attention to the personal involvement of representatives of the Ukrainian political elite in the esoteric environment. According to him, the «magician Veliar» has repeatedly defended them, calling suspicions and criticism «unfair.» The MP noted that political circles have long discussed the fascination of certain high-ranking officials with occult practices, which, in his opinion, is indicated by the large number of bracelets and amulets on their hands. He added that, according to various sources, NABU searches of one of the dismissed politicians revealed items related to occult ritual practices.

This information clarifies the true reasons for the active struggle of some high-ranking officials against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, dispelling the myth of its purely «patriotic» and «statehood» basis. It is noted that the names of politicians-lobbyists «witches» and «magicians» voiced in the public space are known for aggressive statements against the UOC and the implementation of policies to ban it. It is also noteworthy that representatives of occult practices and their patrons in the government are actively lobbying the interests of not only individual politicians but also the OCU in the fight against the UOC.

Earlier, the former press secretary of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Yulia Mendel, published a detailed article in which she claims that the former head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, practices magic rituals and resorts to the services of foreign magicians. According to her, the suspicions against Yermak included visits to a cemetery, communication with foreign magicians, and the use of artifacts such as dolls with water from corpses.
