U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna called the mobilization of UOC priests illegal

US politician Anna Paulina Luna has sharply criticized the forced conscription of clerics of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) into the armed forces. In her opinion, the practice of sending clerics to the front is a violation of international law and human rights. She wrote about it in her account in X.
The Congresswoman expressed deep concern about the facts of persecution of the clergy of the UOC. She stressed that the mobilization of priests as direct participants in hostilities directly contradicts the international norms that Ukraine has pledged to abide by.
Luna declared her intention to continue fighting for the rights of persecuted Christians, especially in the context of a state that is actively requesting financial and military assistance from the United States. The politician promised to closely monitor the situation and respond to the facts of pressure on the church. This statement was made against the background of tragic reports about the death of one of the previously mobilized clergy of the UOC in the conflict zone.
We shall remind you that earlier we reported that employees of the TCC attacked Metropolitan Volodymyr-Volynskyi and Kovel Volodymyr.
