Kremenchug diocese of the UOC issued a statement on the situation around the Holy Trinity Church

The press service of the Kremenchuk diocese of the UOC has officially commented on the situation around the Holy Trinity Church of the UOC in Kremenchuk, refuting reports about the need for the clergy and believers to forcibly leave the shrine. The religious community insists on solving all controversial issues exclusively in the legal field.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, recently in the media and social networks information has been circulating about the allegedly mandatory eviction of the UOC community from the temple for its transfer to the use of the OCU. The diocese emphasized that these reports do not correspond to reality, and the religious community continues to use all available national and international legal mechanisms to protect its legitimate interests.
The official explanation emphasizes that any issues concerning the rights to the Holy Trinity Church should be considered in compliance with the current legislation of Ukraine and respect for the religious beliefs of citizens. Representatives of the diocese urged the public to refrain from spreading misleading information and to wait for final legal decisions in the manner prescribed by law.
Recall that the Economic Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court of Ukraine put an end to a long dispute over the jurisdictional affiliation of the Holy Trinity Church in Kremenchug. The court rejected the cassation appeal of the representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), confirming the legality of the religious community’s transfer to the OCU.
