MP Ihor Huz discusses expropriation of premises of UOC monastery in Miltsi with Volyn region leadership

MP Ihor Huz held a working meeting with the acting head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration Roman Romaniuk. During the talks, among other things, they discussed the expropriation of the premises of the St. Nicholas Monastery of the Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Miltsi, Volyn region.

According to MP Ihor Huz on his Facebook page, the meeting was devoted to discussing a number of important issues related to the district. During the meeting, the issue of St. Nicholas Monastery of the UOC in Miltsi was raised. MP Ihor Huz emphasized the need for a “clear and legal settlement of the situation” around the monastery, as well as the inadmissibility of delaying the relevant processes.

Earlier, Ihor Huz threatened to take away two significant monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, located in Zymne and Nyzhnychi, Volyn region, in favor of the OCU. The MP called on the monks in these monasteries to join the OCU or prepare for eviction.
