UCU will build a new educational center in Lviv

The Ukrainian Catholic University, together with the Lviv City Administration and the holding company «ECO-DOM», plans to build a new educational center in Lviv. «UCU Cooperation Center» is planned to make a place of meeting, dialogue and joint activities for veterans, internally displaced persons, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, teachers, volunteer, charitable and other public sector organizations, managers and community leaders. The UCU website reports that.
«Our goal is to significantly expand the menu of short educational programs that meet the various needs of the community, enabling people to quickly acquire new skills and knowledge important for rebuilding the country. The school will also become an incubator of certain ideas and initiatives that will eventually grow into diploma educational programs,» said UCU Rector Taras Dobko.
At the same time, the university lacks space for scaling up — a significant increase in the number of short-term programs and their participants. That is why UCU accepted the proposal of the company «ECO-DOM» to become an investor in the construction of a public building, which was planned as part of their project, next to the university campus.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyy emphasized during the meeting: «This is a wonderful initiative, and we will support this project. The issue of education is a key factor that can change Ukraine. Unfortunately, not all statesmen realize the importance of reforms and changes in education. That is why we implement many innovations on our own. Ukrainian Catholic University understands the value of education for the future of our country and is changing approaches to education today».
Let us remind you that on September 1, 2025 in Zaporizhzhya there was a solemn opening of the Catholic school named after Don Bosco. A full-fledged educational institution, which was built in 14 months, will operate under the auspices and spiritual care of the Donetsk Exarchate of the UGCC.
