Romanian Patriarchate calls for peace in the Middle East and Ukraine

The Patriarchate of Romania has issued an appeal for peace and reconciliation in connection with the escalation of military conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. In its appeal, the Patriarchate emphasizes the need for prayer and responsibility to restore peace between peoples. This is reported by OrthodoxiaNewsAgency.gr.
The statement notes that the escalation of hostilities has already caused many casualties and exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, including an increase in civilian deaths, worsening violence, social instability, and the spread of poverty and hunger. The Patriarchate of Romania calls for early solutions to restore peace. The appeal emphasizes that in conditions of war, love and peace are forgotten, and communication and connection between people are deeply disturbed.
In addition, the Patriarchate calls for prayers for Romanian citizens in war zones, asking God for their protection and safe return to their homeland.
We would like to remind you that earlier we reported that after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukraine will have to face a number of serious social challenges, one of which is the demographic crisis. Statistics indicate that Ukrainians who left the country over the past three years are mostly reluctant to return.
