In Izyum, representatives of the TCC and the SBU detained two residents of the UOC monastery

In the city of Izium, Kharkiv region, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the territorial center for staffing (TCC) conducted forced detention of two residents of the monastery in honor of the Peschanskaya icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. According to the representatives of the monastery, the clergymen were taken from the territory of the monastery and are currently being held at the TCC office.
According to the monastery‘ s Facebook page, the incident occurred on March 27, 2026. Law enforcers broke into the monastery and, using physical force, took away Archimandrite Leontius and Hieromonk Arseny. The detainees themselves confirmed the information about their whereabouts through social networks, specifying that they are «under lock and key» in the territorial center of acquisition. In connection with the incident, the administration of the monastery appealed to the faithful with a request for prayerful support and announced the temporary suspension of the reception of requests.

Employees of the territorial center of manning (TCC) detained Father Vlasiy, a resident of the St. Nicholas Monastery of Miletskyi, who after prompt procedures was sent to a training center for military service.
