UOC-KP "banned from priesthood" former administrator Andriy Marutsak

The former administrator of the UOC-KP, Andriy Marutsak, was temporarily banned from priesthood by the decision of the head of the organization, Nikodym Kobzar. In case of refusal to repent, Matsurak faces complete defrocking, and the religious communities subordinate to him have already come under the direct leadership of the head of the structure.

According to the Facebook account of the UOC-KP, “Andriy Marutsak’s actions violate the 34th Apostolic Canon and the 15th Canon of the Twofold Council. In this regard, all the communities that were previously under his jurisdiction are transferred to the direct subordination of Nikodim Kobzar.

As reported, on March 23, the head of the UOC-KP, Nikodym Kobzar, signed a decree according to which the UOC-KP Chancellor, Andriy Marutsak, lost his administrative powers. The decision of the head of the structure significantly changes the composition of the organization’s management staff.
