Benjamin Netanyahu called Israel the only guarantor of the security of Christians in the Middle East

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his official Easter address that his country is the only state in the region that guarantees the security of followers of Christ and protects their freedom of worship. The head of the government emphasized the intention of the authorities to protect the rights of believers even in a difficult geopolitical situation and external threats.

According to the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine, the politician congratulated the Christian world on Easter and contrasted the situation in Israel with the situation in neighboring countries. According to Netanyahu, while in many states in the region, including Syria, Lebanon, Turkey and Nigeria, believers face severe persecution, on Israeli soil the Christian community continues to grow and prosper.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the state’s stance on protecting freedom of conscience will remain unchanged even amid regular rocket attacks on Jerusalem and confrontation with the Iranian regime. “Even under fire, our commitment remains unchanged: to protect life, safeguard freedom and ensure that every believer can pray in peace, ” Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized.

At the end of his speech, the head of the government added that in the land where the biblical history began, the authorities will continue to steadfastly protect the rights of all faiths, ensuring the peaceful coexistence of different religious communities during this holy time.

Recall, earlier we reported that the Christian community in the West Bank of Jordan claims a critical threat to its existence. The rector of the only fully Christian village in the West Bank, Father Bashar Fawadleh, issued an official statement about the unprecedented pressure on local residents.
