In Kamyanets-Podilskyi, TCC representatives detained the rector of the local UOC church

In Kamyanets-Podilskyi, employees of the territorial manning center (TMC) detained the rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Archpriest Oleksandr Okruzhko. According to information provided by the UOJ portal, the clergyman was promptly sent to the military medical commission, after which he was placed in the barracks.

The incident occurred on April 8, 2026. According to the relatives of the archpriest, the actions of the TCC representatives were coercive in nature. The priest’s cell phone was confiscated, because of which he is currently without communication in one of the military units of the city.

The parish of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is located in the village of Dolzhok, which is actually the western outskirts of Kamyanets-Podilskyi. This church is widely known as the starting point of the annual procession to Pochaev Lavra. Earlier, in 2023, the building of the temple has already been subjected to attempts of seizure by supporters of the PCU with the support of local authorities.

Employees of the territorial manning center detained Father Vlasiy, a resident of the St. Nicholas Myletskyi Monastery, who after prompt procedures was sent to a training center for military service.
