Benjamin Netanyahu: Israel is the only country in the Middle East where the Christian community is thriving

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a meeting with Christian soldiers, announced the growth and prosperity of the Christian community in the country. The head of the government emphasized the exceptional role of Israel in ensuring the rights of believers and noted the significant contribution of Christians to national security and defense of the state.
It is reported that the meeting was held with the participation of soldiers and commanders of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Netanyahu expressed confidence that it is the Israeli state that acts today as the main guarantor of the rights of Christians in the region. According to him, believers are not only successfully integrated into society, but also occupy responsible positions in the armed forces.
In his address, the prime minister emphasized that “Israel is the only country in the Middle East where the Christian community is thriving, growing and expanding.” He added that Christians in the IDF fulfill a crucial mission, defending not only their country, but also their brothers in faith throughout the Middle East region and beyond. The head of the government was deeply impressed by the personal stories of the soldiers and their sacrifice.
Recall, earlier it became known that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) applied disciplinary penalties to soldiers involved in the desecration of a Christian shrine in southern Lebanon. The incident, which provoked a diplomatic scandal and widespread public outcry, led to the arrest of the direct perpetrator and the suspension of a group of soldiers from combat missions.
