On the territory of the demolished UOC temple in Ivano-Frankivsk, the construction of a public garden has begun

In Ivano-Frankivsk on Chernovol Street, where the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Church of the Ivano-Frankivsk diocese of the UOC was previously located, the authorities demolished it. The project to improve the territory, estimated at more than 5.7 million hryvnias, is planned to be completed by the end of this summer.
According to Pravda.if.ua, construction equipment arrived at the site on April 27. Earlier, on March 31, the improvement department announced a tender to carry out works at 6 Chernivol Street, and the purchase was held without the previously announced architectural competition. The only bidder was SpetsBudMontazh-Engineering LLC, which offered to perform the work for UAH 5,709,468. The contract with the contractor was officially signed on April 16.
According to the approved plan, the builders should completely clean the territory, including the dismantling of foundation remnants, garbage removal and stump removal. The project envisages laying new sidewalks, installing a lighting system, street benches and urns. Special attention will be paid to landscaping: a lawn will be sown and 160 laurel saplings will be planted on the site. All landscaping works should be completed by August 1 this year.
It should be noted that since the demolition of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Ivano-Frankivsk, the city authorities have repeatedly changed their plans for what will be built instead of the temple. Initially it was a kindergarten, and later the city authorities announced the construction of a comprehensive school. Now the mayor of the city declares the creation of a public garden on the site of the seized and destroyed UOC temple.
