The First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia congratulated His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius on his name day

The First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, Metropolitan Nikolai of the EastAmerica and New York, sent an official congratulatory message to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine on the feast day of his heavenly patron, St. Onuphry the Great. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
In his message, Metropolitan Nicholas emphasized the significance of the spiritual journey of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He noted that taking monastic vows under the name of St. Onuphrius the Great at the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh marked the beginning of many years of service dedicated to increasing spiritual riches and the salvation of the flock entrusted to him.
“On this most joyful day, allow me, on behalf of the episcopate, the clergy, the monastic community, and the flock to extend to you, with love and respect, our best wishes for robust health, a cheerful spirit, peace, and prosperity, God’s all-strengthening help in your episcopal labors, and many years of grace-filled and comforting ministry!” the congratulatory message reads. In closing, Bishop Nikolai expressed words of fraternal love and asked for the holy prayers of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius.
