In Kryvyi Rih, TRC officers forcibly conscripted a priest from the Alexandrian Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

An incident occurred in Kryvyi Rih involving the forced mobilization of Father Roman Nagornyak, a clergyman of the Diocese of Alexandria. The priest was detained by representatives of the Territorial Center for Mobilization and immediately sent to a military training ground to begin his service.

According to the Union of Orthodox Journalists, Father Roman Nagornyak, who serves as rector of the Church of Saints Constantine and Helena in the village of Chervonokonstantinovka, was stopped by employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center on July 10 while traveling by car. According to available information, the priest was forcibly taken to the TRC, where he underwent a military medical examination that same day.

At present, Father Roman is at one of the military training grounds in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The priest’s relatives have appealed to the faithful for prayerful support in light of the current circumstances.
