A clergyman from the Dormition Zimno Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was detained by TCC officers

Archpriest Alexander Goncharuk, a clergyman at the Zimne Monastery of the Dormition of the Mother of God of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, was forcibly detained by representatives of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC). According to information published by the Telegram channel “First Cossack, ” the clergyman is currently being transported to the city of Lutsk.
It is reported that the priest’s detention occurred under unspecified circumstances. At this time, the exact reasons for the TRC officers’ actions against the clergyman remain unknown.
As a reminder, earlier the press service of the Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church issued an official statement regarding the forcible detention of the diocese’s cleric, Protodeacon Bohdan Rudnichko, by officers of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC). The incident occurred on July 7 around noon, when the clergyman was returning home after celebrating a divine service.
