Kremenchuk authorities are demanding that the OCU remove the fence around the Trinity Church

The Kremenchuk authorities ordered representatives of the OCU to dismantle the fence around the Trinity Church and also directed them to review the boundaries of the land plot belonging to the religious organization. These measures were taken following official intervention by Mayor Vitaliy Maletskyi, who criticized the current state of the site. This was reported by the Kremenchuk Gazette.

According to the mayor’s statement at an executive committee meeting, the church’s land plot was “strangely divided,” and as a result, city authorities intend not only to remove the fence but also to significantly reduce the church’s territory to create a “neat public square.” Despite attempts by representatives of Dumenko’s administration to present the dismantling as a voluntary beautification initiative, the work began solely under administrative pressure.

As a reminder, earlier in Kremenchuk, representatives of the OCU attempted to disrupt the divine services of believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), who, following the seizure of the Holy Trinity Church, have been forced to pray outdoors. The incident occurred at the site of the destroyed old church, where the congregation was celebrating the Liturgy.
