The Serbian Orthodox Church is calling for an independent investigation into the torture of a Serb in Kosovo

The Raška-Prizren Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church has issued an official demand for an independent and thorough investigation into the incident involving the mistreatment of Nenad Rašković, a resident of the village of Dren. The victim is in intensive care with severe injuries, which he claims were sustained as a result of torture by Kosovo police officers. This was reported by the Orthodoxia News Agency at .

According to Rashkovich’s testimony, police officers broke into his home, demanding that he hand over a nonexistent weapon, after which they took him to a wooded area where they beat him with rubber batons while tying him up and gagging him with a cloth. A medical report confirms that the victim suffered broken ribs, as well as head and chest injuries. The diocese emphasizes that this case is not an isolated incident but is part of a broader pattern of systematic pressure and attacks on the Serbian population in the municipality of Zubin Potok.
