Bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church made pastoral visits to parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in several European countries

Bishop Veniamin of Boyarsk, head of the Western European Vicariate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, conducted a series of divine services and official meetings during his trip to Sweden, Norway, and Hungary. The visit was aimed at strengthening spiritual support for Ukrainian Orthodox communities in the Scandinavian countries. This was reported by , citing the press service of the UOC.

The main events took place in Stockholm, where on August 4–5, His Eminence presided over the celebrations marking the patronal feast of the parish dedicated to the Pochaiv Icon of the Most Holy Mother of God. Representatives of the Georgian and Serbian Orthodox Churches participated in the divine services. Later, on August 6–7, Bishop Benjamin visited St. Ignatius College in Södertälje, where he met with Dean Michael Helm and celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the college chapel, laying the foundation for future cooperation.

During the remainder of his pastoral visit, on August 8–9, the bishop visited a parish in Gothenburg and met with representatives of the Church of Sweden; on August 16, he celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Norwegian city of Kristiansand. At the conclusion of his visit, Bishop Veniamin congratulated the parish rector, Archpriest Vladimir Saviy, on an important milestone—the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.

On August 20, the feast day of St. Stephen I, King of Hungary, the UOC parish in Budapest celebrated its patronal feast. The festive Divine Liturgy was presided over by Bishop Mark of Rakhiv, vicar of the Khust Diocese. His Eminence was concelebrated by Archpriest Sergiy Shulhach, Dean of the Austrian and Hungarian Deanery; Father Dimitri Sidorenko, rector of the parish; clergy of the Western European Vicariate; and visiting clergy.

A special event for parishioners was the bringing into the church of the reliquary containing the relics of two great Transcarpathian saints Venerable Job of Uholsk and Venerable Alexius of Carpathrus. Numerous believers had the opportunity to venerate the holy relics and to offer their prayers to the saints and God’s saints.

After the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Mark addressed those present with a word of spiritual guidance and congratulated the parishioners on the patronal feast day.
