The daughter of the Ugandan president has been ordained as a "bishop" of a Protestant church

An event of great significance to the local Protestant community took place in Uganda: the president’s daughter was officially ordained as a “bishop” of the Covenant Nations Church. The solemn ceremony took place on the outskirts of the capital, Kampala. This was reported by Pulse Uganda.

The event marked the 20th anniversary of the founding of the religious organization led by the head of state’s daughter. Over the course of two decades, the small Christian community she founded has grown into an extensive organization comprising several parishes. In addition to the congregation, the Ugandan president himself and the country’s first lady attended the service.

The ordination ceremony was conducted by a specially invited Protestant preacher from the United States. It is known that the newly elected “bishop” is actively engaged in religious activities, regularly organizing large-scale evangelistic events and Christian conferences in Uganda aimed at promoting church doctrine.
