Nicodemus Kobzar admitted a OCU parish in the Poltava region into the Ukrainian Orthodox Church—Kyiv Patriarchate

On September 28, 2026, the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church–Kyiv Patriarchate, Nikodim Kobzar, admitted to the “Kyiv Patriarchate” Oleksandr Salnyi, a cleric of the OCU, along with the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul, located in the village of Shevchenky, Poltava District, Poltava Oblast.

According to Decree No. 91, Oleksandr Salnyi and the parish of Saints Peter and Paul will report to Nikodim Kobzar in their future ministry and will be part of the Poltava Diocese of the UOC-KP.

As a reminder, earlier the Ukrainian Orthodox Church–Kyiv Patriarchate ( ) readmitted a cleric who had previously married an “abbess.”
