Supporters of the OCU tried to seize the temple in the village of Blistavitsa near Kyiv

On February 4, 2023, the OCU activists, with the support of the defense forces, tried to seize the UOC church in the name of the Holy Great Martyr Paraskeva in the village of Blistavitsa, Kyiv region. This was announced by the rector of the temple, Archpriest Iliya Solkan, writes the UOJ.

More than three dozen supporters of the OCU, led by several “priests”, demanded to be allowed into the temple, referring to the decision of the meeting of the villagers to transfer the parish to the structure of Dumenko.

According to Fr. Iliya, this meeting took place on October 29, 2022, and was attended by about 70 people. The parishioners of the temple explained to the audience that people who are not members of a religious community do not have the right to decide the fate of the parish, but their words were ignored. Based on the decision of the meeting, the Kyiv Regional State Administration on January 18, 2023 re-registered the parish in the OCU.
