UOC must sign transfer-acceptance certificates of state property of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra by Friday, - Ministry of Culture

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy stated that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church must sign the acts of acceptance and transfer of state property of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra by Friday, June 9. It is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

“They must sign the acceptance certificates for 79 objects of state property, which are returned to the use of the reserve. There is also a requirement to hand over the keys and, as a result, change the place of registration … In principle, we wait until Friday,” said the chairman of the commission of the Ministry of Culture and Information policies on the acceptance and transfer of objects of state property of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the ICIP Maryana Tomin on the air of the national telethon on Thursday, June 8.

It is noted that on June 6, the commission of the Ministry of Culture for the acceptance and transfer of state property of the Lavra completed its work and signed an acceptance certificate with the National Reserve. In addition, the UOC «should, within three working days from the date of receipt of the letter of demand, vacate the premises of the Lavra, and also re-register the Holy Assumption Monastery at a different address within three months.»

It is also reported that the work of the commission of the Ministry of Culture to verify the preservation of cultural values of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the UOC has been extended until June 30.
