Tkachenko intends to create a museum center in the Lavra dedicated to Hetman Ivan Mazepa

Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko announced his intention to create a museum center in the Lavra dedicated to Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He wrote about this on his own Telegram channel.

«It is quite logical to create the Museum Center «Hetman Ivan Mazepa and His Time» on the basis of the Reserve. The Onufriyevskaya Tower, also built at the expense of the hetman, was chosen as the place for such a museum. We started working on it as part of the Great Restoration program even before the war. Now it remains to complete them and create a museum,» the minister said.

He also added that, «as promised, the Lavra becomes Ukrainian. Now prayers for outstanding figures of Ukrainian history will be heard within its walls.»
