Religious procession to the Pochaev Lavra was also banned in the Vinnytsia region

The website of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration published a document «On the ban on marches and demonstrations, mass religious events outside places of worship», signed by the Chairman of the Regional Military Administration Sergey Borzov and the commander of the tactical group «Vinnitsa» Ivan Garaz.

 

The document states that «in order to preserve security and tranquility in the region, the life and health of citizens,» it is prohibited to conduct a religious procession to the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra throughout the region.

 

«The heads of the district military administrations should ensure that the requirements of this order are communicated to the leaders of all religious confessions in the districts and take measures to ensure the implementation of the ban,» the RMA website says.

 

Sergei Borzov retained control over the implementation of this order.
