In the Cherkasy diocese appealed to the President about the arrest of Metropolitan Feodosiy

The clergy and believers of the Cherkasy diocese sent an appeal to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the state authorities of Ukraine and the Cherkassy court, in which they call for the immediate termination of the artificially fabricated criminal case against Metropolitan Feodosiy of Cherkasy and Kanev and release him from arrest.
First of all, the appeal notes that now the people are divided into «right and wrong, insiders and outsiders,» patriots «and» non-patriots «.» And the Church «experiences today not the new, but only the old that has not yet been forgotten.»
In connection with the meeting of the “newest Sanhedrin”, the clergy, abbess and nuns of the monasteries, clerics and laity of the Cherkasy diocese of the UOC revealed a desire to declare unity with their ruling bishop, Metropolitan Feodosiy, and consider all the testimonies of scammers and “evidence” far-fetched and unfounded.
«We perceive this trial of the metropolitan as a trial of all of us, the flock of many thousands of Cherkasy. And when you judge a bishop, then judge us too! If you want to imprison him, prepare dungeons for us too!» – call the authors of the appeal.
The diocese appeals to the president with a demand to immediately stop the artificially fabricated criminal case against Metropolitan Feodosiy of Cherkasy and Kanev and release him from arrest. They also emphasized that not only in Ukraine, but throughout the Orthodox world, it is obvious that the metropolitan is «innocently persecuted by denunciations of people with crowbars and grinders.»
“We also appeal to the judges of this process: no matter how pressure is put on you “from above” and “from below”, in no case make false and criminal decisions! It is better for you to lose your position and job than to lose eternal life and incur the wrath of God “If you, under pressure from politicians, imprison a bishop of God, neither your descendants nor history itself will forgive you,” they added in the appeal.
