In Khust diocese of the UOC recalled that the TCC illegally holds their clergyman

Representatives of the Khustka diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church draw attention to the fact that Archpriest Ioan Rozman, secretary of the diocesan administration, has been illegally detained by representatives of the TCC at a military training ground for three weeks. The fact that the clergyman is a father of many children and is exempted from military service by law adds to the odiousness of the situation. This is reported by «First Cossack».
We shall remind you that the Khustka diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church published a statement in connection with the forced mobilization of clergymen under its jurisdiction. The diocese is convinced that the actions of TCC employees against the priests of the diocese are illegal. The corresponding information is published on the official website of the Khustka diocese.
It is reported that starting in mid-March 2024, employees of the military commission, violating the laws, mobilized two priests performing administrative duties in the Khustka diocese of the UOC — the secretary and the treasurer. Each of the described cases occurred in violation of the norms of Ukrainian law. For example, the treasurer of the diocese Archpriest John Petechel is the guardian of three underage children, and according to the law on mobilization it is expressly forbidden to mobilize such people. Moreover, the mobilization of the clergy took place in a «short time». TCC employees actually restricted the freedom of priests by detaining them in military enlistment offices.
Note, earlier we reported that the people’s Deputy of Ukraine Artem Dmytruk said that he would send a deputy appeal on the forced mobilization of clergymen of the Khustka diocese of the UOC. The MP believes that the TCC employees enjoy impunity, committing lawlessness against the UOC clergy.
