Attempts to take away the cathedral from one of the dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continue in Volyn

The deputies of the Volyn regional council do not stop their attempts to take away from the Volodymyr-Volynskyi diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church the Uspenskyi Cathedral and the complex of premises where the diocesan office and the Volodymyr-Volynskyi theological school are located. This time the Volyn Regional State Administration attracted law enforcement agencies to seal the church with their help. About it reports the regional edition “Bug”.
“Once again emphasized the need to seal the shrine, and then move on to court cases. Also once again emphasized the importance of avoiding self-rule and going beyond the legal framework against the background of escalation of the conflict, because there may come a moment when the believers will not be able to stop, and no one – neither law enforcers, nor officials, nor politicians – will not be able to counteract while the determined public will do their justice,” – said the Deputy of Volyn Regional State Administration Andriy Bokoch.
We shall remind you that earlier the deputy of Ukraine from Volyn region Igor Guz announced that he had collected signatures of 18 of his colleagues in the Parliament to evict the Vladimir-Volyn diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the premises of the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the city of Vladimir-Volynsky occupied by it. The MP initiated an appeal on this issue, which was also signed by his colleagues.
