Proposal of the law on banning the UOC agreed with all factions - MP Kravchuk

Ukrainian MP of the Servant of the People party Yevheniya Kravchuk has said that the vote for the scandalous draft law No 8371 aimed at banning the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was agreed with all deputy factions of the Ukrainian parliament. Kravchuk claims that the said draft law will be put to a vote first of all after the Verkhovna Rada resumes its work. She told in a commentary to the publication «Apostrophe».

«The Conciliation Council should provide its recommendations until August 15. And in this interval from August 15 to the next sessional meeting is likely to hold a meeting of our Committee to finalize the version of the law, which we will bring to the hall. And let me remind you that there was an agreement of all factions and groups that we will start work in plenary mode with this very law, which caused a lot of controversy,» — said Kravchuk.

We shall remind you that earlier, an MP of Ukraine from the party «European Solidarity» Mykola Knyazhytskyy criticized his colleagues in Parliament for their unwillingness to vote for the bill № 8371, aimed at banning the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Knyazhytskyy believes that they were all «bought by the Russian Church».
