The Serbian Patriarch congratulated the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the anniversary of enthronement

On August 17, 2024, Patriarch Porfiry, Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, sent a congratulatory message to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine on the anniversary of his enthronement. His Holiness emphasized that for a decade His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius has been tirelessly caring for the needs of the flock and inspiring the faithful with the word of truth in great suffering and hardship. This is reported by the official website of the UOC.
“The Council of the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, through whom you received the grace of apostleship (Rom. 1, 5), entrusted you with the Primate’s ministry, so that you constantly protect the Church and the people. In the gathered joy of the whole Church, together with St. Onuphrius, the heavenly patron and intercessor of Your Beatitude, we offer our prayers to the All-Merciful Lord to bless Your long-suffering people and grant You strong bodily and spiritual health, for the joy of the pious clergy and the flock entrusted to You by God. Live long, Blessed Vladyka, for many and good years!”, — wished the Serbian High Patriarch.
Earlier, the newly elected Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Daniel, expressed his support for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The hierarch noted that the Bulgarian Church empathizes with the suffering experienced by the clergy and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
