Head of OCU complains to Patriarch Bartholomew about his exarch and delegates - media

The head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko sent a letter to Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, which was read out during the Synod held at Phanar from October 22 to 24, 2024. In it, Dumenko complained about the Exarch of the Patriarch of Constantinople in Ukraine, Bishop Mikhail of Komana, and the Phanar delegation that visited Ukraine in late August. This was reported by the Orthodox Times.
«At the meeting, a letter from Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv to the Synod was read out. In his letter, Metropolitan Epifaniy criticized the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Kyiv, Bishop Mykhailo Komansky. He also spoke disparagingly of the three-person delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate that visited Kyiv, as well as their actions and the results of the visit of the three envoys of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. As if this were not enough, the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Kyiv, Bishop Michael of Komana, also sent a letter in which he expressed his point of view on the current situation in the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, speaking negatively about Metropolitan Epifaniy,” the publication said.
As we reported earlier, the Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, which took place from October 22 to 24, 2024, did not adopt any resolutions on the Ukrainian church issue, as there was no positive dynamics in it. The meeting heard a report by members of the Phanar delegation who visited Ukraine in August, in which the main conclusion was that the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the head of the OCU were unwilling to make mutual concessions to start a dialogue.
