As reported earlier, the hierarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Jonnikije of Montenegro and the Littoral, sent a letter to Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kaniv in connection with the seizure of the Archangel Michael Cathedral of the UOC in Cherkasy. The bishop called what happened in Cherkasy a crime and expressed his support to the head of the Cherkasy diocese of the UOC.
UN takes interest in seizure of UOC Cherkasy diocese's cathedral

Representatives of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission visited the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kaniv. The reason for the visit was the seizure of the Archangel Michael Cathedral of the UOC in Cherkasy by representatives of the OCU. This is reported by the official website of the Cherkasy Eparchy of the UOC.
“During their work in Cherkasy, human rights activists carefully communicated with the victims, in particular with Metropolitan Theodosius himself, recording their testimonies, testimony and medical documents regarding the injuries they received. Several victims were still undergoing treatment after maxillofacial surgery and other serious injuries at the time of the Mission’s visit. Many of the injured and wounded believers testified on the condition of anonymity, because, given the inaction of law enforcement agencies in violating the rights of believers, they cannot feel safe today, especially after threats to their lives and health from attackers on the Church,” — the press service of the diocese reports.
