Pope's health deteriorates again

Doctors at the Italian clinic where Pope Francis is being treated have noted a deterioration in the pontiff’s health. It is reported that on March 3, 2025, the head of the Vatican suffered two episodes of acute respiratory failure. This is reported by Vatican News.
“The Holy Father had two episodes of acute respiratory failure caused by a significant accumulation of endobronchial mucus and the resulting bronchospasm. In this regard, two bronchoscopies were performed due to the need to suction out a large amount of secretions. In the afternoon, non-invasive mechanical ventilation was resumed. The Holy Father remained conscious, oriented and cooperated with the medical staff at all times. The prognosis remains restrained,” — the Vatican press service said.
As reported, on the morning of February 28, Pope Francis’ health deteriorated sharply. The pontiff was connected to a ventilator due to problems with his respiratory system.
