The Lviv UGCC Church Hosted a Rock Concert in Honor of Fallen Heroes

On April 4, 2025, the St. Peter and Paul Church of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) in Lviv hosted a rock concert titled «Evening of Remembrance,» dedicated to honoring Ukrainians who lost their lives in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The event was part of the opening of the «Lviv – European Youth Capital 2025» year. Before the event, the church clergy held a memorial service. This was reported by DivysInfo.

The concert featured well-known Ukrainian rock and pop artists, including «Braty Hadriukiny,» Mysha Pryvyl’ny, Zhenya Halych (O. Torvald), YARMAK, and others. A live orchestra performed on stage, and sound and lighting equipment, including spotlights and light cannons, were set up. The lyrics of the songs and the names of the fallen heroes were also projected onto the church dome, adding a special atmosphere to the event.

One of the most recognizable songs was «We Are the Boys from Bandershtat» by «Braty Hadriukiny,» which includes the lyrics: «Our dads and moms broke so many cradles to bring us into God’s world by stork.»

Earlier, we reported that the head of the UGCC, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, believes Ukraine should abandon peace negotiations with Russia. According to him, the format of peace being imposed on Ukraine behind its back is unacceptable and unjust.
