During Searches of OCU Militants Who Raided Verkhni Stanyvtsi, Cold Weapons Were Found

During the investigation of the attempt to storm the Holy Nicholas Church of the UOC in the village of Verkhni Stanyvtsi in Bukovyna, carried out by militants connected to the OCU, new details have emerged. During the searches, cold weapons, including five large knives, were found among the detained “Grishchuk’s boys.” This raises questions about the attackers’ intentions and the nature of their actions. This was reported by the “Pervyi Kozatsky” news outlet.

The group, led by the notorious serial raider Grishchuk, is known for its aggression and ties to the extremist group “Tryzub” of Bandera. Despite Grishchuk’s attempts to present his subordinates as “students and OCU believers,” the investigation indicates otherwise. It has been revealed that, apart from food and personal items, prohibited knives were found in the “OCU prayer group’s” backpacks.

It should be reminded that on the night of April 8-9, 2025, OCU supporters made an unsuccessful attempt to seize the Holy Nicholas Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Verkhni Stanyvtsi, Chernivtsi region. The raid was led by the notorious OCU “chaplain” Roman Grishchuk. The invaders attacked UOC believers who had gathered to defend the church. Some of the parishioners required hospitalization.
