As a reminder, we recently published an analytical material on what the post-war future of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church might look like. The author of the publication pointed out that Russia, during peace negotiations, will definitely demand to ease pressure on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which, in turn, will leave the UOC under the influence of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Russia adds a clause on restoration of UOC rights to its version of the negotiation memorandum

The Russian version of the negotiating memorandum contains a clause on the restoration of the rights of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Russia’s memorandum on the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict was presented at the talks between Moscow and Kyiv on June 2 in Istanbul. This was reported by RTVI.
It is reported that among other demands that the Russian negotiating team presented to their Ukrainian counterparts, there is also a clause on lifting restrictions on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). This confirms earlier assumptions that the Ukrainian church issue will be the subject of Russian-Ukrainian peace talks.
