As reported, on December 27, 2024, supporters of the OCU, with the assistance of the police, carried out a raider seizure of the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kremenchuk, Poltava region. The raiders cut off the locks on the central doors of the church and, having made their way inside, broke down the Royal Gate “to conduct an inventory” in the altar of the cathedral.

The Commercial Court of Poltava Region sided with the OCU in the case of the illegal re-registration of the Holy Trinity Religious Community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava Region. The illegal re-registration of the UOC community in favor of the OCU was carried out with the aim of seizing the local Holy Trinity Church of the UOC. This was reported by the regional publication Telegraf.
It is reported that the plaintiff, representing the Holy Trinity religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the city of Kremenchug, demanded that the decisions of the territorial community meeting on the “transition” to the OCU and the approval of the new charter be declared invalid. However, after considering all the circumstances of the case, the court completely rejected the lawsuit, effectively confirming the legality of the actions of the OCU side.
