Fraudsters Created a Fake Page of Filaret Denysenko on Facebook

On June 5, 2025, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchate reported the creation of a fake page of their head, Filaret Denysenko, on the social network Facebook. Fraudsters are using this profile to collect funds for personal needs. This information was posted on the official website of the UOC KP.
The statement on the website emphasizes that social media users should be cautious and not respond to any messages or requests coming from this fake page.
The administration of the Kiev Patriarchate also points out that Filaret Denysenko does not have an official social media page, and any messages from his name requesting financial assistance are fraudulent.
It was previously reported that the Head of the UOC KP, Filaret Denysenko, sent a letter of congratulations to Donald Trump in connection with his inauguration as President of the United States, calling for the protection of the «Kiev Patriarchate» and ensuring the right to freely function. Denysenko hopes that Trump will help restore the registration of the UOC KP in Ukraine.
